\u00a0El Gran Canaria Front\u00f3n Pro 2017 <\/b>reanud\u00f3 la competici\u00f3n para celebrar los octavos de final y as\u00ed comenzar la fase final. La organizaci\u00f3n junto a la APB World Tour decidi\u00f3 el pasado jueves aplazar la competici\u00f3n a la espera de mejores condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas. Con un tama\u00f1o de olas que superaban los 4 metros y con viento sur hicieron que El Front\u00f3n volviese a mostrar su mejor versi\u00f3n para estas rondas definitivas.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Las rondas correspondientes a los octavos de final se compondr\u00edan de un total de 24 competidores que buscaban el paso a cuartos de final. La ronda n\u00famero 3 se desarrollar\u00eda con enfrentamientos mano a mano, es decir s\u00f3lo 2 competidores en el agua y 20 minutos de tiempo total. Un m\u00e1ximo de 10 olas puntuando solo las 2 mejores, los favoritos a coronarse \u201crey\u201d del Gran Canaria Front\u00f3n King Pro 2017 iniciaban los cuartos de final. Importante se\u00f1alar que todos los riders que optan a adjudicarse el subcampeonato mundial segu\u00edan todos en competici\u00f3n por lo que la lucha y la emoci\u00f3n estaba garantizada.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jared Houston, Alex Uranga, Uri Valadao, Antonio Cardoso y Diego Cabrera manten\u00edan todas sus opciones al subcampeonato mundial. Cada uno de ellos superaron con claridad todos sus enfrentamientos mano a mano en la ronda 3. Sin embargo, en la ronda ronda 4 de octavos de final el primero de los favoritos en caer fue el brasile\u00f1o Uri Valadao que se vio superado por Jared Houston y el vasco Alex Uranga. En \u00fanico de 10 de la jornada fue para Dudu Pedra, un enorme tubo y un ars le vali\u00f3 al brasile\u00f1o para obtener una ola perfecta. Pierre Louis Costes y el australiano Ryan Hardy tambi\u00e9n superaban su manga y el pase a cuartos de final. En la \u00faltima manga del d\u00eda el tinerfe\u00f1o Diego Cabrera lograr\u00eda el pase a cuartos para seguir peleando por el subcampeonato mundial. En esta \u00faltima manga Amaury Lavernhe lograr\u00eda el primer lugar dejando fuera de la lucha por el n\u00famero 2 del ranking a el portugu\u00e9s Antonio Cardoso.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Las m\u00e1ximas puntuaciones del d\u00eda fueron para el hawaiano Jacob Romero con una puntuaci\u00f3n de 9.83, con una maniobra (air reverse) que levant\u00f3 de sus asientos al p\u00fablico asistente. El franc\u00e9s Pierre Louis Costes campe\u00f3n mundial APB 2016 obtuvo la segunda mejor puntuaci\u00f3n del d\u00eda con un 9.60.\u00a0<\/p>\n
[:en]The Gran Canaria Front\u00f3n Pro 2017 resumed the competition to celebrate the round of 16 and thus begin the final phase. The organization along with the APB World Tour decided last Thursday to postpone the competition in anticipation of better weather conditions.
