Before you paddle out

El Frontón is for experts only

It breaks over a very shallow, sharp volcanic reef with little water over it. Helmet and a reinforced board strongly advised.

Requirements

IBC membershipA valid, active 2026 IBC Tour membership is required.
Registration and feeComplete the official registration and pay the entry fee before the deadline.
Mandatory check-inOn-site check-in and technical briefing on 15 October. Missing it can cost you your place in the draw.
InsuranceTravel and sports medical insurance covering competitive bodyboarding. Mandatory for international athletes.
Rules and respectThe IBC Rulebook applies, along with respect for the environment and the Gáldar community.
